The G.D.M. competition has two parts:
- Part 1 is open to all wines (red, rosé, white) with geographical indication, made with more than 85% Grenache. The authorised Grenache varieties are white, grey and black Grenache, garnatxa, garnacha, cannonau, tai rosso, gamay del Trasimeno, granaccia, lledoner pelut…
- Section 2 – Blending” is open to all wines made with more than 51% of the following grape varieties: Grenache blanc, gris, noir, garnatxa, garnacha, cannonau, tai rosso, gamay del Trasimeno, granaccia, lledoner pelut….
Each wine must comply with the regulations in force in its country. The aim of the competition is to highlight the qualitý Grenache-based wines.
