After conquering Manhattan, seducing Paris, and bringing together the world of Grenache once again in Aragon, Grenaches du Monde is preparing for 2026 a shift as symbolic as it is eagerly awaited: its grand return to Roussillon. This return is not a mere nod to the past, but the natural continuation of a competition that, over the years, has steadily strengthened its status as an unmissable event dedicated to the Grenache grape variety and its terroirs around the world.
The 2026 edition will take place from May 10 to May 13 in the heart of the Community of Municipalities Albères – Côte Vermeille – Illibéris, with the Maison de la Mer in Argelès-sur-Mer as its main venue. This modern space, open to the Mediterranean and fully committed to an exemplary environmental policy, perfectly embodies the spirit of the edition: a subtle balance between territorial roots, innovation, and responsibility. It is here, between the sea and the mountains, that professional tastings, producer meetings, exchanges among international experts, and the key moments that shape the life of the competition will take place.
“We are proud to host in 2026 a competition that so aptly represents the Grenache variety and our region. Argelès-sur-Mer and the Community of Municipalities will offer the wine world an authentic, modern, and Mediterranean setting. This return to Roussillon reaffirms our natural vocation as a land of hospitality, exchange, and dynamism.”
— Antoine Parra, Mayor of Argelès-sur-Mer and President of the CC Albères – Côte Vermeille – Illibéris
